The woman behind Just Ask Boo: Kids deserve gifts of culture and charity

Moms throughout Miami wake up on Friday mornings to the JustAskBoo email newsletter, loaded with a treasure trove of kid-friendly advice and items for sale. JustAskDomesticHelp, meantime, matches families with nanny and housecleaning services. The woman behind both endeavors is Boo Zamek, mom to Caroline, 13, and Aly, 11. Striving to teach her girls the importance of giving back, Zamek makes it a point to do something charitable with her daughters at least once a week. She also includes philanthropy-related content in every issue of her newsletter.

We just asked Boo for her six top gift ideas for kids, which she kindly shared with us. Click here to see all of our experts’ suggestions

Give back.

“The simplest gift, but so meaningful, is a cash donation to a charity in the name of the recipient. This is a great way to either introduce a child to a new charity or to support a charity that is already important to them.”

2. The Nutcracker Tickets
