A Q&A with Harold Bluestein, a founding principal of Bluestein and Wayne, P.A.
How long has the firm been serving South Florida clients? “Our firm opened its doors in 1989.”
How many attorneys work for the firm? “Initially, the firm consisted of two lawyers: Barry Wayne and myself. Today, we have five lawyers, all of whom devote their full attention to handling marital and family law matters.”
What are the firm’s legal specialities? “Bluestein and Wayne, P.A., limits its practice to the handling of marital and family law issues, representing high income earners and people of significant wealth with regard to divorce, separation, prenuptial agreements, post nuptial agreements and paternity, inclusive of those involving same-sex couples.”
What is the best part about practicing law in South Florida? “The opportunities presented by dealing with diversity in all of its form: diversity of people, diversity of ideas, diversity of commercial endeavors, diversity of social environments, diversity of industries. It is a broad palette, creating challenges to a lawyer’s analytical skills and his or her ability to create meaningful winning solutions for clients.”
What sets your firm apart from others? “We have a unique assemblage of people who have experience with sophisticated valuation and income issues, asset and debt structure, as well as an ability to internally collaborate and offer differing perspectives to case issues.”
Is there a particular case that exemplifies the firm’s work and success? “The desire of people to retain us is enhanced by their understanding that we are closed-mouth regarding their personal lives and that we don’t promote ourselves by publicizing our relationships with them.”
What is something people may not know about your firm that you would like them to know? “The cumulative total of our lawyers’ experience approximates 120 years, and we have been blessed with a stable of professional and support personnel that benefits those we represent. Mr. Wayne and I have both been Board Certified Marital and Family Law practitioners for in excess of 20 years.
Does the firm have any major plans for 2018-’19? “We intend to continue to have a closely circumscribed practice and to limit our client intake; to evolve along with the communities in which we practice; and to continue to educate ourselves so that we can best serve our clients.”
