The New York Times asked INDULGE Editor in Chief Evan Benn to give an overview of some of Miami’s best restaurants, hotels, shops and cultural activities right now.

“For those who haven’t visited in a minute, some of the recent changes Miami has undergone may come as a surprise,” Benn wrote, noting the recent addition of the Brightline train, upgrades to the Miami Design District’s retail options and to Miami Beach’s infrastructure, and the infusion of “cultural capital” via new institutions like Frost Science and the Institute of Contemporary Art.

For best restaurants of the moment, The Times highlighted Ghee Indian Kitchen, Itamae at the St. Roch Market, and Ariete in Coconut Grove. Top shops included Mrs. Mandolin, La Centrale at Brickell City Centre, and Alicia Kossick’s Polished Coconut. Hotels: Four Seasons at The Surf Club, Faena Miami Beach and the new Generator Miami.
